Reginelli's Pizzeria Restaurant Review:
To many New Orleanians, the first name in pizza is Reginelli’s. Its thick, flavorful pizza crusts and imaginative topping combinations always draw crowds. Monday and Tuesday nights’ $2 pitchers of Abita beer and Wednesday night’s $10 bottles of wine make a pizza night extra appealing. A typical specialty pizza is lavished with pesto sauce, sun-dried tomatoes, fresh basil and roasted red peppers. Fillings for two-fisted grilled focaccia sandwiches are our favorites: slices of chicken roasted with rosemary, daubed with goat cheese and fresh spinach. Baked pasta dishes and calzone round out the menu. For those trying to watch their waistlines, Reginelli’s also offers its “Eat Fit” menu, featuring items such as chicken pita sandwiches, asparagus and avocado salads and several hummus selections. Desserts vary daily, so ask what’s on tap. The neatly maintained and efficiently run dining room adds allure. Other locations.
