THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Rodizio Grill Restaurant Review:
This Brazilian steak house brings the buffet to your table, via swarthy strolling gauchos who arrive with giant skewers of meat. The problem with feeding meat to the masses is that its difficult to get it cooked the way individuals want it. The tenderloin should have been good, but it was blood rare and overly salty. The garlic top sirloin had the texture of beef jerky that, although a favorite of cowboys, is not what you expect to find at a high-end Galleria-area restaurant. A saving grace is the trendy contemporary décor which sports giant art-deco light fixtures, Italian-style wood paneling, curving walls of windows and soothing deep upholstery colors. And not all is lost in the kitchen either. The buffalo roast is melt-in-your-mouth tender, as well as tasty, and the bacon-wrapped turkey was a hearty find. Rodizios all-you-can-eat concept includes trips to the American and Brazilian salad bars. At the end of the buffet lines are side dishes of tasty black beans, spiked with sausage and ham, and the requisite white rice.
