Rowdy Hall Restaurant Review:
This old boarding house dates back to the beginning of the 20th century and is now a gastropub with a spirited atmosphere. The copper bar, fireplace, and the Arts and Crafts knickknacks create a cozy, rustic venue for sampling the upscale pub fare. The Rowdy burger is a standby, made with all-natural Black Angus, but also featured are steak frites with strip steak and marrowbone and a classic meatloaf. A handful of creative, unique options can be found, like a seared duck breast soba noodle salad or local cod with roasted shiitakes, but in general, the food here is classic and tasty. A good selection of local microbrews on tap is available.
