THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Rue de Paris Restaurant Review:
In San Francisco, Continental-style restaurants have pretty much had their day, but in San Jose, the idea of an upscale restaurant offering both classic Italian and French dishes is still popular. Rue de Paris, with its cute country French lace curtains, shutters and flower boxes, is one of the most successful. The usual suspects are here: escargots de Bourgogne, foie gras, rack of lamb and even beef Wellington. Chocolate mousse and an array of soufflés are just part of the extensive and delicious dessert offerings. The wine list abounds with good French selections and the port choices are exemplary, with vintages going back to 1896.
