A downtown Austin branch of the New Orleans-born steakhouse chain.
Ruth's Chris Steak House Restaurant Review:
The New Orleans-born chain is known for its USDA Prime cuts of beef, broiled at 1800 degrees and served sizzling. Depending on your appetite, select the 8 oz. petite filet or 22 oz. cowboy rib-eye. All side orders are extra, and plenty to share, like the creamed spinach or potatoes au gratin. If beef is not your preference, the menu offers a selection of other entrées such as blue crab cakes and stuffed chicken breast. For dessert, the white chocolate bread pudding can be topped with your choice of crème anglaise spiked with Chambord, Tia Maria, orange Cognac or Frangelico. The wine list offers plenty of big reds to complement those hearty steaks, but don't overlook cocktails like the Big Easy Hurricane.
