Salt Restaurant Review:
The contemporary cuisine with Mediterranean influences prepared by a Venezuelan chef is served in a buzzing open kitchen decked out in orange and grey. The menu changes weekly, but starters have included black mushroom-peppers terrine, and mains such as rack of lamb, steak or pan-seared salmon. Try the chocolate soufflé for a sweet finale. The compact wine list looks to new-world options; cocktails include the lemon grass Tom Collins. Salt is a bit of a trek from the center of Beijing, tucked away in the “suburban” Lido area.
