Schwartz's Restaurant Review:

If there is one restaurant that most visitors to Montréal will see, it’s this well-known establishment founded by a Jewish immigrant from Romania in 1928. Guests cram into long tables, seated side-by-side with strangers, as they enjoy sandwiches made with smoked-meat (lean, medium or fatty), steaks and good fries. Be prepared to wait in line, but service is speedy. Don't skip the dill pickles or the cherry coke.
