The Scottish Arms Restaurant Review:

About the restaurant: At more than 100 and counting, this cozy pub has the largest single malt Scotch whiskey selection in town. The pub also actively supports local microbreweries, broadening its appeal among those who haven’t yet acquired a taste for whiskey.

Food: And speaking of acquired tastes, do sample the haggis (perhaps stuffed into roasted quail or wrapped in bacon), a traditional sausage of lamb’s livers, oats and spices. A duo of duck (seared and confit) and an orange-glazed roasted rabbit have hearty appeal on the seasonal menu, but it’s hard to pass up a good pasty, whether filled with lamb and vegetables or with chicken and leeks. Cranachan, the unusual dessert that's made with whipped cream, oats, fresh fruit and a wee drop of whiskey, is worth a try.
