Scout Restaurant Review:

This hip neighborhood café and general store in Silver Lake sports a fast-casual counter offering a coffee program from Portland-based Heart Coffee, smoothies, kombuchas, aromatic teas and pastries from Roxana Jullapat. Breakfast options highlight a grain bowl with peppered bacon, red quinoa, poached egg, red cabbage, radicchio, pickled red onion, roasted mushrooms and chimichurri. Sandwiches include a Spicy Fried Chicken and Jambon Beurre with French ham, French butter, French breakfast radish and cornichon spread on a fermented baguette; of course, expect a kale salad, too. The retail corner displays biodynamic wines and curated items from Shinola, Taschen, Sqirl and more. Sidewalk bistro tables outside of the storefront are perfect for people-watching.
