THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Senoritas on Sunset Restaurant Review:
When the owners of the San Fernando Valleys popular Mexicali announced their intention to open a Sunset Strip outlet in the old Scandia space, there was no question as to whether it would succeed. The cavernous space, with its dark beams and massive bar seem almost made-to-order for a happening Mexican joint. Prices are modest by Sunset Strip standards, especially for the signature menu of margaritas, which come, by glass or by pitcher, with a choice of any of the restaurants 43 tequilas. The standard Mexican fare is just that: standard. The more inventive, Cal/Mex dishes are where Senoritas shines. Try the snow crab enchiladas, seared ahi salad, rib-eye tacos or the Senoritas rendition of ceviche with its biting lime dressing and plenty of fresh cilantro. But above all else, come for the festive atmosphere, laid-back bar scene and the incredible sampling of tequila.
