Seven Grand Restaurant Review:
Seven Grand, located on 7th Street near Grand Avenue downtown, has the feeling of an old-fashioned hunting lodge. This whiskey-focused watering hole features a black walnut bar, tartan prints and mounted "jackalopes" on the walls, pool tables, a few private rooms and an outdoor patio where guests can smoke cigars selected from the bar’s humidor. There's an extensive list of whiskeys, ryes and bourbons as well as vintage and original cocktails such as the Herschel Vine made with Seven Grand Knob Creek Single Barrel bourbon, rhubarb and Brooklyn Hemispherical Black Mission Fig Bitters. About a dozen lagers and ales are offered on draft, and there are more beer options by the bottle and can. Seven Grand is also home to the Museum of the American Cocktail (MOTAC) Whisk(e)y Gallery, the first permanent Los Angeles exhibit for the Museum of the American Cocktail.
