Sheba Ethiopian Restaurant Restaurant Review:
All who are familiar with Ethiopian cuisine will appreciate Sheba’s authentic flavors (no skimping on chili heat) and well-presented and cooked entrées and appetizers. The best starter is the beef sambusa, a turnover-like offering filled with flavorful ground beef. For the full impact of the food, consider a sampler platter that takes a primary meat or vegetable and surrounds it with small scoops of such sides as Sheba tibs and gomen. If you have a mind to focus on a singular main, however, the kitchen has a fair selection of dishes starring beef, chicken, lamb, tilapia or shrimp. You’ll find vegan/vegetarian selections as well, and oddly enough, two Italian pastas and two Italian desserts. For a special taste treat, sample some of the Ethiopian wines. Sited in a nondescript mini strip mall, this place has no relation to the Fairfax Ethiopian restaurant of the same name.
