Fourth Street North used to be the major artery into the interstate connection between St. Petersburg and Tampa, and while now the interstate snags cars from a variety of other on-ramps, Fourth Street remains an unexpected mecca for restaurants. So, of course, there would be a Shells, a successful franchise to emerge from the West Coast of Florida. The menu emphasizes seafood---catfish, shrimp, crab legs, lobster and fresh fish of the day. Those not in the mood for seafood can find a few items for their tastes, too, such as New York strip steak or char-grilled chicken breast. There could be a few more desserts on the menu---four seems to be the standard.
