“Shiroi hana” means "white flower"---words that underscore the purity and simplicity of the Japanese cuisine at this small bistro. Whether you sit at the sushi bar or at one of the tables, appetizers such as fried oysters, steamed dumplings, and yakitori are good to start. Sashimi and sushi are always impeccably fresh and will feature the prized toro when available. The sukiyaki and other cooked dishes are equally satisfying. The menu offers a number of sakés and beers to complement the food, and the charming waitresses will explain anything on the menu that is beyond comprehension.
