Shuhei Restaurant Review:
Tucked into the lower level of a small office building --- and therefore somewhat challenging to find --- this tastefully decorated space boasts blond wood tables, Japanese art and artifacts and kimono-clad waitresses. Sushi is the star; among the more than 50 varieties are tuna, avocado and fish roe; marinated mackerel; sea urchin; and yellowtail and eel. Meanwhile, the eight-slice futomaki sushi includes tasty options like the firecracker with fresh salmon, avocado, jalapeño peppers and hot sauce. Appetizers from the kitchen are plentiful; we suggest the Korean-style tofu or the fried oysters, served with a wasabi cocktail sauce. There are plenty of options for the sushi shy as well, like salads, noodles and a whole host of vegetarian picks. A well-crafted wine, saké and beer list will satisfy any diner. Service is professional and helpful.
