Sidecar Restaurant Review:
This Park Slope gastropub might not offer many surprises, but it does good, hearty beer-and-cocktail friendly fare well. Its dimly lit, wood-accented interior with a long bar and cozy booths makes for a good imbibing and eating venue. The menu is a globe-spinning tour of feel-good fare: kimchi-laden pork belly that is unctuous and crispy and slightly spicy; a decent grass-fed beef burger; ultra crispy fried chicken; a tightly packed pork Cubano sandwich; and passable moules frites. There are a handful of signature cocktails (try the FDR: gin, vermouth and pickling juice) and a long line of draught beer, plus a short but affordable list of wines by the bottle or the glass.
