Sidecar
A craft approach distinguishes this festive downtown bar and restaurant.
Sidecar Restaurant Review:
Sidecar’s focused menu successfully hits many points. Carnivores can tuck into a market cut, which might be a 32-ounce tomahawk rib-eye, while vegans will be pleased with an heirloom tomato “lasagna” with pistachio pesto. Offerings change a bit to reflect the seasons, but they’ve included house-made pappardelle with Bolognese sauce, pork belly tacos and Cajun fried chicken. Mini glazed donut holes with three dipping sauces are a fun finish. This is also a good spot for weekend brunch, especially to enjoy the pozole or eggs Benedict. And since the craft approach extends to Sidecar’s bar program, brunch should be accompanied by a Bloody Mary made with pickled vegetables.
