Don’t expect American ribs or steaks at this excellent spot because the food that will be simply grilled here is Persian. You’ll savor family recipes of owner Ali Nafidi for ground beef or chicken kebabs served on fresh tandoori bread. You may also find at least one of his mother-in-law’s famed Persian specials each day, and in winter, the hearty aush soup is essential for beating the chill. Nafidi makes the rose-flavored Persian ice cream. For customers who want American-style food, Nafidi offers several familiar sandwiches and salads, but his Persian treats, especially the lamb kebabs, have proved immensely popular.
