Simply Grille Restaurant Review:
Simply Grille offers chef/owner Russ Heydary's take on fresh, healthy food from the Mediterranean and Middle East. Housed in a former Starbucks, Simply Grille is clean, modern and, with its drive-through window, somewhat utilitarian. Whether lamb, chicken, Angus sirloin cubes or ground beef, Heydary's marinated skewers come hot and cooked to order off a huge char-grill, accompanied by basmati rice and half a grilled plum tomato. An array of salads --- including shirazi (diced cucumbers, red onion, tomatoes, parsley) and joojeh (chunks of marinated grilled chicken breast, mushrooms, cucumber, tomato, onion and lettuce) --- and such traditional appetizers and sides as salad olovieh (chicken, potatoes, mayo, eggs, peas and pickles), torshi (Persian mixed pickled vegetables) and zereshk polo (basmati rice mixed with barberries, currants and saffron) --- are nice setups. No alcohol or desserts.
