THIS RESTAURANT HAS CHANGED LOCATIONS Simposio Restaurant Review:

Simposio has earned its reputation on simple yet elegant Italian fare marked by roasted meats, well-crafted risottos and decadent desserts. All of this is served in a setting that is quiet as well as romantic. Omnipresent fried calamari gets special treatment here, joined by shrimp and scallops and served with a spicy tartar sauce. More inventive appetizers await those willing to try the cured cod mousse with grilled polenta or the roasted veal in tuna sauce with lemon and capers. Dinner entrées shine, with choices such as lamb shank braised in red wine and served with Gorgonzola polenta; seared mustard-marinated pork chops with garlic mashed potatoes; and a chicken breast stuffed with Fontina and mushrooms in a white wine sauce. Consider the veal-stuffed half-moon ravioli, or the stracci with sea scallops, baby artichokes and saffron. Better yet, go for the creamy risotto mantecato with roasted pepper coulis and Taleggio cheese.
