Skyline Restaurant Restaurant Review:
Located in a woodsy spot on the Northwest fringes of Portland, the Skyline Restaurant is known for burgers, milk shakes, and other retro treats. It’s a fun place, especially for families with small children. The architecture is vintage; vinyl booths, stools, and old-fashioned fast and friendly personalized service add to the appeal. All-American diner-style fare also includes fried chicken, fish ‘n’ chips and fried egg sandwiches. The aforementioned burgers come in all sorts of iterations with toppings ranging from the typical bacon and cheese to chipotle mayo or pastrami. Breakfasts offer the expected standards of pancakes, eggs (check out the five-egg omelet) and bacon, as well as the likes of chicken fried steak and biscuits and gravy. Drinks are limited to beer and wine, and payment is cash only, please. Motorcyclists are in hog heaven here; a day with no rain in the forecast means everyone can check out the parking lot line-up of gleaming chrome-plated Harleys.
