THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Smoke Tiki Lounge Restaurant Review:
A huge backlit red Tiki god glows brightly at the entrance of this kitschy downtown Don Ho retro hot spot. Smoked meats are hit and miss but the $2.95 weekday happy hour menu, where you can nibble on prawn quesadillas, Hawaiian nachos and ahi poke while sipping Island-inspired cocktails and real Hawaiian beers, is a great deal. Try the Spam Griller---a Spam and cheese sandwich with onion and tomato (add a fried egg for an even tastier treat). Groups should check out the “Platinum Platter” which includes four smoked meats, four large sides and garlic bread. We are surprised not to find our favorite Hawaiian specialty, kalua pork, but the spicy smoked meatloaf with pineapple almost makes up for it. Partiers come for the huge outdoor patio, and there are semi-private cabanas and bottle service for patrons who want to pose.
