Smoque BBQ Restaurant Review:
About the restaurant: The scents emanating from the open kitchen immediately clue you in to the appeal of this saucy spot, where it's hard to find a miss on the menu. The experience begins by selecting 'cue from a big blackboard; order at the counter, wait to hear your number and, finally, zero in on one of a few free wooden tables in the open dining room.
Food & Drinks: Eating the pulled pork sandwich (the meat is smoked for more than 12 hours) is a satisfying experience, but it's rivaled by bites of crisp-skinned chicken and dry rub-slathered baby-backs. Then again, the smoke-infused Texas sausages are tempting in their own right. Plus, the sides are homemade --- we especially like the tangy slaw and brisket chili. For a sweet treat, finish with the peach cobbler or bread pudding. Also located at Revival Food Hall, 125 S. Clark St.
