Sor Tino Restaurant Review:
Italian food lovers who enjoy the atmosphere at Ago in L.A. and Miami but faint at the prices turn to Sor Tino, Ago's Brentwood sibling. This Tuscan trattoria is more approachable --- and more hospitable to non-celebrity guests --- serving rustic Italian fare. Start with octopus with potatoes and string beans, or one of the crisp pizzas from the wood hearth. That same oven also turns out a moist veal chop in a balsamic reduction, rack of lamb, and an 18-ounce rib-eye with roasted potatoes. Pastas range from pappardelle with wild boar ragù to fettuccine with veal and wild mushrooms. Classic desserts like crème brûlée and tiramisu are available. The wine list features selections from California and Italy.
