Spanky's Clam Shack Restaurant Review:

Outdoor joints offering similar menus of fried seafood and family-friendly sandwiches line Hyannis Harbor, but Spanky's is a standout. It's got a full raw bar as well as a view of the ferries as they shuttle visitors to and from Martha's Vineyard. Grab a patio table and enjoy made-to-order fried clams, “chowdah” and crab cakes. Or settle in for some of the fancier fare like baked, stuffed shrimp, blackened swordfish or a “lazy man's" lobster dinner (already shelled). Options for landlubbers include burgers with crisp fries, char-grilled chicken and vegetarian ravioli. Desserts are American classics like a strawberry shortcake and “wicked good” chocolate cake. The restaurant also offers a full bar with a serious cocktail menu. It makes an ideal spot to gather at sunset for drinks, although you might have to wait for an outdoor table in the high season.
