When Roy and Joy Callan closed the big neighborhood butcher shop they'd run for nearly 20 years, they took the recipes for the house-made sausage that had always been a draw, and opened a little caféteria-style sandwich shop offering 15 different varieties of sausage, all made without fillers, nitrates or MSG, tucked into fresh buns. Big deli-style pastrami, corned beef and ham sandwiches, soups, and desserts are also available in a room painted bright mustard yellow, ketchup red and dill pickle green. Authentic antique meat grinders, sausage stuffers, coffee grinders and other such conversation pieces set the scene.
