We have a lot of patience when it comes to waiting (30-35 minutes) for one of these yummy Star pizzas: you can have them New York-style thin or Chicago-style deep pan, but rest assured, these pizzas are distinctly Texas-style: big, hearty and heavy on the toppings. If you’re a friend of meat, you must have the Starburst Deluxe, a pizza topped with ground beef, Italian sausage, pepperoni, onions, mushrooms and green pepper. Slightly more health and waist conscious is Joe’s Pizza, made with sautéed spinach and fresh garlic-especially good with the optional whole-wheat crust. Star also serves salads and pastas.
