Stax Burger Bar Restaurant Review:
Chef Luis Ramirez, formerly at Bistro VG in Roswell, and his brother Luciano, the restaurant manager, created the range of burgers at Stax. The simple space is made aesthetically appealing by a sky-blue wall and lots of windows. Traditional beef burgers are crafted from a blend of grass-fed and corn-fed beef. Double thin patties come atop a good bun with blue cheese, caramelized onions, tomato and shredded iceberg lettuce for the Blue Burger. Others are made from pork and chorizo, lamb, chicken and even seafood. Hand-cut sea salt fries and onion rings are pluses. Salads are available, too, although we find the chopped salad drowning in balsamic vinegar-based dressing. For the sweet spot, there are floats and shakes made with Häagen-Dazs ice cream. Beer and wine are offered, and we were pleased to see wine prices that made sense given the menu. No coffee is served, and there's no gluten-free bun alternative.
