About the restaurant: We have to give Greg Koch credit. Not only did he help put San Diego on the map as a craft beer capital with his hop-forward beers, but he's also a champion of sustainable and organic food, as seen in his onsite bistro. The dining room sits next to the brewing facilities, with views of the giant steel vessels. This modern-style tap room is lively and airy with sunlight, and the sprawling gardens call for a leisurely beer-infused lunch.

Food & Drinks: The menu feels random, but reflects Koch's favorite foods from around the world. Dishes range from kung pao Brussels sprouts to street tacos to burgers. Salads are loaded with fresh produce from the nearby Stone Farms. For dessert you might find churro donuts. Take a brewery tour before or after lunch as a window into San Diego's craft beer culture.
