THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Strip House Restaurant Review:
In a sultry, all-crimson room enhanced with flattering lighting and photos of vintage burlesque stars, the Strip House takes off. Needless to say, the racy club-like aura is undeniable sexy, and happily the steakhouse food with creative touches keeps right up. Double-cut porterhouse, meltingly tender filet mignon and veal chop steal the spotlight, while side acts of goose fat potatoes, snowy salt-baked potatoes crowned with caviar, and black truffle cream spinach cleverly served in a copper dish leave absolutely nothing more to be desired. The crowd at this Manhattan transplant consists of men who look like athletes, women who look like models, movers-and-shakers out on the town, and foodies seeking a decadent bite. They all find it here.
