THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Sunset Room Restaurant Review:
Super model--turned--supper club entrepreneur Chris Breed, who brought you Roxbury, has a few passions in life. On of them is this baby in the heart of Hollywood. Come to see, be seen, listen or eat. There is a plethora of gigs and other happenings at this entertainment eatery where all walks of life mix. He has also brought back the old Pig n' Whistle and has appointed chef Andrew Pastore to oversee the dining programs at both establishments. The multi-roomed property offers a corner for everyone, from the romantic patio to the VIP lounge. Pastore has created a menu of California cuisine with ethnic tweaks form the Pacific Rim palette, and delivers coconut tempura shrimp, shu-mai of Peking duck and foie gras, short ribs, and nori-wrapped ahi tuna. An interesting, short wine list with small-production offerings might bring you a couple of discoveries. The Sunset Room is one of the hottest and most exclusive clubs in Los Angeles. Start with a drink at the bar overlooking the dining room where you can catch a live act.
