THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Sushi Oyshi Restaurant Review:
Sushi Oyshi has been a favorite for local sushi lovers ever since its 1995 opening. It's just a simple storefront with a cramped, often too hot, dining room. This isn't a place to visit to impress a date, unless, of course, that date appreciates no-frills sushi. Regulars stop by this restaurant for a quick bite or to grab some take-out for the family. The restaurant does a fine job with all the standards. The California rolls and the tuna rolls, as one might suspect, are favorites here. The best dish, however, is the salmon teriyaki. Part of that has to do with the salmon, which is always moist and flaky. But it also has to do with the terrific teriyaki glaze, which carries just the right amount of sweetness. The tempura dishes, which are never soggy or overly battered, are also quite good.
