Sushi Yoshi Restaurant Review:
This corner destination, small and often overcrowded, has struck a nerve with fresh-fish fanciers who may shun the long drive to DC for comparable fare. Luckily, the tuned-in owners not only buy the freshest just-caught seafood, but they have hired creative sushi chefs who, for example, present chirashi sushi on a platter with a separate array of choice fish cuts --- this classic offering is usually served in a bowl with fish on sushi rice. Even the miso soup is a monument to good taste. The French-trained Japanese chef has free rein to add some French and European elaborations to this otherwise all-Japanese menu, such as croquettes and similarly influenced dishes.
