Swingers Restaurant Review:

Only in L.A. would you expect to find a diner where meatloaf and mashed potatoes harmoniously co-exist with tofu sauté. Not surprisingly, the menu at this hipster haunt attracts everyone from edgy artists to local families. The concept is comfort food with flair, such as a grilled cheese sandwich stuffed with tomato, grilled onions and guacamole; an orange Creamsicle shake; and Mickey Mouse pancakes for the kids. The menu is extensive, and also includes everything from challah french toast to tofu chilaquiles. With squeaky-clean Formica countertops and flamboyant retro décor, this is the kind of place where the beautiful people come to slum. And they can do it at practically any hour of the day since Swingers is open until 4 a.m. every night. The shakes are fine, but there’s also booze, from Pabst Blue Ribbon to Newcastle, from a Bloody Mary to a vodka-Red Bull cocktail.
