THIS RESTAURANT HAS CHANGED LOCATIONS Syzygy Restaurant Review:
Syzygy has as its namesake the alignment of three or more heavenly bodies, and here you'll find heavenly drinks, heavenly food and heavenly jazz. The contemporary pastel-toned Art Deco interior and dramatic lighting, standing water walls and intimately curved bar, is the sophisticated backdrop for a scene that begins with dinner and goes late into the night. Executive chef Martin Oswald, who has cooked with David Bouley and Charlie Palmer, orchestrates dinner. Oswald is an excellent wild game chef with a nouvelle cuisine style. The extensive wine list offers more than 500 French, Italian and American wines. After 10 p.m., Syzygy turns into Aspen's hottest jazz club. Singles and couples who are more baby-boom than boom-box migrate here to get up close and personal while they enjoy the jazz riffs.
