Located on the outskirts of San Juan Capistrano's tourist-luring area, this neighborhood Italian restaurant and wine bar provides a hideaway from the scene. Lunch proposes Italian and American-style salads, hot and cold sandwiches, and a smattering of entrées from the evening menu. Dinner is a more formal affair with signature dishes such as truffle butternut squash ravioli, eggplant Parmesan, fettuccine Toscana, chicken Marsala, shrimp scampi, and a flat-iron steak topped with goat cheese and served with chimichurri sauce. As the name suggests, the place takes wine seriously, and offers selections from around the world, including more than 40 by the glass.
