Taste at the Palisades Restaurant Review:
A sister restaurant of the family-operated Taste on Melrose, this eatery is a worthy destination in the surprisingly sparse Pacific Palisades dining scene, where affluent residents generally take their dining dollars elsewhere. Candlelit bistro tables sit beneath modern lighting fixtures to create a homey yet fashionable ambience in this intimate restaurant. Among starters, the wide-ranging menu offers mint-and-dill-scented tuna tartare with a spicy aïoli, winning pizzettas (try the one with pear, caramelized onions and Gorgonzola) and chicken tortilla soup. Follow these with a cumin-spiced pork chop with white truffle oil and sugar snap peas, pan-roasted barramundi, and wild mushroom risotto with Taleggio. Finish with chocolate brioche bread pudding or opt for a nicely garnished plate of three cheeses.
