The Tavern’s St. Catherine patio is always buzzing in clement weather, as is the tastefully appointed indoor area at lunch, frequented primarily by local Westmount residents and business types year round. It is ideally located at the base of a few high-end apartment complexes and office buildings, namely, the prestigious 1 Westmount Square. The food is notable, although pricey for fish and the homemade pasta. Try the veal, brisket or properly seared trout. Gourmet mac 'n' cheese is rich, though, so pair it with a market salad to start, especially if you want to follow with the bread pudding. Waitstaff is plentiful and attentive.
