Ted's Bulletin Restaurant Review:
Virginia fans of Ted’s Bulletin on Capitol Hill can now find the same American fare without the hassle of a DC trip. Its Reston location commands a corner view of a busy Town Center intersection, and is a powerful draw for passersby. Breakfast, lunch and dinner meals include some of America’s most popular old-time homey foods, such as Nana’s beer biscuits with sausage gravy (certainly an appealing way to start the day) to a bowl of tomato soup with a sandwich for lunch or something as quirky as Drew’s peanut butter-bacon burger. Then there’s supper, which Ted’s starts serving at 11 a.m. Choices include a buttermilk country fried steak, a heaping portion of meatloaf with ketchup glaze, and smoked Alabama chicken. Ted’s is famous for its thick milk shakes; pop tarts, its take on one of America’s favorite sweets; and you might also come across brownies and a banana cream pie.
