The Terrace Restaurant Review:

About the restaurant & décor: For a more casual dining experience at The Langham Huntington, Pasadena, try The Terrace, strategically located next to the swimming pool and the Picture Bridge (one of the hotel landmarks, not to be missed before leaving). This indoor-outdoor café is faced with the challenge of appealing to everybody, from guests recharging after a swim to diners serious about food. The setting is lovely regardless of one’s perspective.

Food & Drinks: Pass on an uninspired Caesar, but consider an artfully plated beet salad with oranges and crème fraîche. Among entrées, you’ll find garlic and lime roasted chicken with yellow chile mashed potatoes, lobster potpie and a skillfully cooked filet of black cod drizzled with a soy-caramel sauce. Desserts range from old-school soufflés to a chocolate brioche pain perdu with some molecular gastronomy touches. The Terrace’s predominantly Californian wine list is respectable and the margins not too excessive.
