The Tewksbury Inn Restaurant Review:
The Tewksbury Inn, located in the heart of New Jersey’s horse country, has been welcoming guests for a century or two, originally as a stagecoach stop, but now as an enchanting country inn. While the inn’s manners come from another era, the food does not. Chef Chris Quintile’s menu offers modern dishes prepared with a clear-eyed sensibility for international flavors. There are temptations such as parsley and lemon crusted cod with bacon, corn and tomato ragoût; and stuffed veal top round with prosciutto, accompanied by roasted red peppers, spinach, onions and asparagus. A carefully selected wine list does justice to the food. Dine on Monday evenings and order any bottle on the list at a 50 percent discount. Service is informal and friendly.
