Tommy Joe’s Restaurant Review:
Taking over chef Robert Wiedmaier’s former restaurant space is this sports bar-casual eatery with a TV-rich setting. The menu tells the story with such popular goodies as quesadillas, sliders and loaded potato skins to start and on to chopped salad, soups, wraps and sandwiches, as well as a small selection of other mains --- think steaks, crab cakes and grilled salmon. Good beginnings include the bountiful layered nachos of fresh tortilla chips loaded with chili, pico de gallo, jalapeños and guacamole. For lighter fare, the Cobb salad with grilled chicken is a good choice, and if you are a burger fan, the Sunrise burger with American cheese, bacon and a fried egg topping will bring smiles. Call it a day or night with a dessert treat like Key lime pie or caramel cheesecake. Expect loads of brews and wines; just ask the staff for assistance.
