THIS ESTABLISHMENT IS CLOSED Tongdang is one of the most beautiful Thai restaurants in the San Gabriel Valley. The storefront spot, filled with flowers and clad in gold and red, is loaded with sculptures, gilded lacquer panels, and paintings by renowned Thai artist Kamol Tassanchalee. The food also outperforms most neighborhood Thai eateries, with dishes like red curry-covered crispy trout; chicken sautéed with mango, cashews and plum sauce; and whole fried catfish artfully presented.
