Tuscany il Ristorante Restaurant Review:
About the restaurant: Elegant and refined, this Westlake Village restaurant is ideal for special occasions. Chef/owner Tommaso Barletta brings the flavors of Tuscany alive in a menu that has something for everybody.
Food: One might begin with lobster and shrimp in a creamy citrus vinaigrette presented in a martini glass, or beef carpaccio with limoncello-scented olive oil before moving on to an array of pastas. Try the spaghetti in "cartoccio," baked in parchment paper, or rustic pumpkin ravioli in hazelnut cream sauce. For entrées, the kitchen turns out a fine rack of lamb in mustard-herb sauce, as well as miso-marinated sea bass in ginger- and lemon grass-infused Tahitian vanilla broth for a more contemporary, cross-cultural dish.
