V Bar St. Marks Restaurant Review:
V Bar St. Marks brings some European flair to the neighborhood thanks to the exposed brick, comfortable armchairs and free WiFi. Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, V Bar caters to different types depending on the time of day. In the mornings, it bustles with couples breakfasting on the savory frittatas (goat cheese and spinach being the best of the bunch). There’s also an Italian spin on a croque madame with mozzarella and two fried eggs atop brioche that's been warmed on the griddle. Commuters in a hurry, meanwhile, can grab pastries or the bread itself, which comes from Sullivan Street Bakery. Come dinnertime, the menu gets more Italian, with a fine take on spaghetti carbonara. It's not all traditional. The tagliatelle with caviar and salmon and the lobster-pancetta slider show the chops of the kitchen, despite the limited menu.
