The Varsity Restaurant Review:
This location of The Varsity is huge, with some 12,000 square feet of space, and brings the classic Art Deco Varsity look to the ’burbs but adds TVs and archival photos to the package. What has not changed is the menu, the best of which includes the toasted pimiento cheese sandwiches, hot dogs with house-made chili, onion rings and fried pies. Don't go near the barbecue sandwich, however, as it's likely to give the genre a bad name. The skin-on fried potatoes are hand-cut on the premises. Check out the lingo: ask for a bag o' rags to get a bag of potato chips. Other locations.
