La Provence Patisserie & Cafe Restaurant Review:
European-trained Farshid Hakim turns out refined French pastries, crumbly biscuits and scones at his charming La Provence Patisserie & Café, tucked into a small shopping center in Beverly Hills. There is a selection of Parisian macarons, in addition to tarts, éclairs, croissants, muffins and cookies. His cakes, including a black and white chocolate and a hazelnut mousse, are pleasing to the eye, but even more pleasing to the palate. A large savory menu includes eggs Benedict with salmon, ham or spinach; french toast; and omelets for breakfast. For lunch or an early dinner, you’ll find soups, quiches, salads and sandwiches, plus larger plates like organic roasted half-chicken and lemon herb salmon.
