Village Café offers a bright and colorful space for casual all-day dining at The Opposite House. This is a big breakfast spot, and the morning menu features options like banana and coconut pancakes with palm sugar syrup. The international lunch and dinner dishes range from steamed sea bass fillet with Hunan chilies and Asian greens to pumpkin, basil and goat cheese lasagna to a Reuben sandwich with pastrami, sauerkraut and Russian dressing on rye bread. Two- and three-course lunch specials are available on weekdays, and there are also a few nightly dinner specials such as curry combos on Wednesdays, steak night on Thursdays, and Friday fish and chips. For dessert, you might find cinnamon sugar churros with hot chocolate or lemon cocoa cheesecake.
