Vineyard Cafe Restaurant Review:

The Vineyard has become a victim of its own success. Weekend brunch has become so popular that this once laid-back hutong café is sheer chaos come Saturday and Sunday lunchtimes. However, it comes into its own later in the evening when the candles are lit and the early diners go home. Service is a bit erratic although always polite, and there is plenty of entertainment such as books and board games for the kids. The cuisine is hearty and authentic European. The thin, crispy pizzas are one of the top draws---carnivores go for the “meaty-orite,” which is piled with roast chicken, bacon, pepperoni and ham---but there are also homemade pastas, English pork sausage sandwiches, moussaka and chunky veggie burgers and chips for the meat shy. There are some good imported beers and a pleasing wine selection.
