Vito's Restaurant Review:

You’d think a neighborhood with so many theaters and music venues would be giving Vito’s more competition for the pre-show dinner crowd, but it’s not. In other words, if you’re trying to make a curtain, reservations are a very good idea. Vito’s offers hand-tossed original or Sicilian-style pizza---not St. Louis thin-crust---and the quality can’t be rushed. Of course, there are other menu items---chicken, beef, pasta, fish---but it's the pizza that rules. The restaurant has an equally charming patio overlooking the Saint Louis University campus. Though it gets plenty of college students, the theater patrons keep the sophistication level well above raucous, even during the late-night dining hours on Fridays and Saturdays, when the thought of a nightcap and a gelato before the drive home tempts many theatergoers back to Vito’s.
